“OH, I AM SORRY”
“I LOVE YOU”
“THANK YOU”
“PLEASE BE CAREFUL”
These are the phrases……… my dear mum would often say……………………………..… When in her presence, I would hear these words almost every single day…………………..… Our mum was the kindest, most gentle, most generous, loving and caring person you could ever wish to meet. She was always grateful for everything she received and clearly had the noblest, most beautiful, loving heart. She always wanted to GIVE….. and so would put the needs of others first………….. Our mum was gorgeous in so many ways.
I simply cannot find all the words I would wish to say right now……so I shall use mum’s words to guide me.
I can hear her say….“OH, I AM SORRY”, …………….….. Well, I,……. and all of us here are sorry,………. we are sorry to lose you mum. You were a shining light, warm like a candles glow, you brought comfort to others in your company, you were a wonderful caring person and loving mother.
“PLEASE BE CAREFUL”, ……………She would, without fail, wish everyone on their way with these words. She cared for us,………. always, and wanted us to be careful in everything we did. She did not wish harm or distress to anyone,………………... this was…….. GENUINELY her outlook on life.
“I LOVE YOU”, ………………I will continue to hear these words in my head when I think of you mum. Everyone here today loves you, especially Emma, my brother, dear sister and daughter in law, your grandsons, your granddaughters and great granddaughter. Your nieces and nephews. Everyone in our extended family love you. Friends of the family,….. who met you…… always asked how you were and told me that they too thought you were wonderful……….. Mum you gave your love freely,…………….. it showed in all the things you did for us………… You were lovingly and easily……. loved back.
“THANKYOU”,…………I used to try and tell you to stop saying thankyou all the time. It didn’t work, it never worked. You were thankful to everyone…….. even for the smallest of favours,………….. you were saying thank you, when people should have been thanking you.
From this day on mum, I, and I’m pretty sure many others who loved you the most, will be saying THANKYOU for everything. Thank you for simply being you………
A few days before my mum passed away, I took her hand…………and asked her if she was scared. She replied quickly and clearly said…………. “No, no, I’m not scared,………. I will soon be holding Johnny’s hand”.
Well,…..Mum………listen……………You are not walking alone,……………… you never will be walking alone. You are now holding dad’s hand……. in YOUR heaven, listening to the sweet and peaceful song of a lark………You will hear my dad saying these words AGAIN……………, “I LOVE YOU ESTHER”.
MUM, YOUR LIGHT SHINES ON,….. IT WILL NEVER, ……….IN OUR THOUGHTS AND HEARTS,…… FADE…. IT WILL BE KEPT BRIGHT BY THE LOVE WE ALL FEEL……. AND THE MEMORIES WE MADE.
Love you, Mum, always. ……… We all love you……..and will never forget the kindness and love you gave.

Thinking about Bunty and you all at this sad time.We have such wonderful memories of a very kind lady, especially so when we lived on Bryn Hedd. I was only talking of her time in the Maelor Hospital last week when I was a student nurse and how caring she was to us all.She was an exceptional person💕
We would be there with you but unfortunately illness won’t allow. However we shall be thinking of you.
